AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS AND VOLUNTEERING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any collective bargaining agreement between a municipality and an employee organization that is the exclusive representative of the municipality's employees from containing any provision limiting the ability of the municipality to permit individuals to provide volunteer services for the benefit of the municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit municipalities to utilize the assistance of volunteers within the community.
