AN ACT CONCERNING THE COLLECTION, STORAGE AND ANALYSIS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT EVIDENCE COLLECTION KITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a state-wide sexual assault evidence collection kit tracking system that tracks the location and status of such kits throughout the criminal justice system.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish accountability in the criminal justice system with respect to the collection, storage and analysis of sexual assault evidence kits.
