AN ACT CONCERNING NATURAL GAS UTILITIES AND NATURAL GAS FROM THE STATE'S ORGANIC WASTE STREAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require that the state's natural gas utilities purchase a portion of their natural gas supply for retail end-use customers from facilities that produce renewable natural gas from fractions of the state's organic waste stream.
Statement of Purpose:
To require natural gas utilities to purchase a portion of their supply from resources that produce renewable natural gas from fractions of the state's organic waste stream.
