AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL TREE REMOVAL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to reconcile the provisions of sections 23-65 and 16-234 of the general statutes by providing that section 23-65 of the general statutes applies to municipal trees and section 16-234 of the general statutes applies to trees of private landowners.
Statement of Purpose:
To clarify existing tree stewardship laws and preserve public notice of municipal tree removal.
