AN ACT PROHIBITING USE OF CREDIT SCORES AND THE CITY OR TOWN WHERE A MOTOR VEHICLE IS GARAGED AS UNDERWRITING FACTORS FOR AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit using as factors in underwriting automobile insurance policies (1) the credit score of an insured, and (2) the city or town where a motor vehicle is garaged.
Statement of Purpose:
To exclude the credit score of an insured and the city or town where a motor vehicle is garaged as factors in underwriting automobile insurance policies.
