AN ACT CONCERNING THE FILING OF MOTIONS IN CIVIL AND FAMILY MATTERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that in any civil or family matter, other than a complex litigation matter, each party shall be entitled to file not more than twelve motions or requests without the imposition of any additional fee, and that the filing of any additional motions or requests, above the twelve, shall be accompanied by a progressively increasing fee. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To improve efficiency in the court system.
