AN ACT PERMITTING THE REDUCTION OF THE MINIMUM BUDGET REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN TOWNS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-262j of the general statutes be amended to permit a town to reduce its budgeted appropriation for education in an amount equal to any reduction in equalization aid grant funding from the prior fiscal year that a town experiences. Statement of Purpose: To allow a town to reduce its minimum budget requirement if such town receives a reduction in education cost-sharing grant funding.
