AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF A TRANSITION PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO WANT TO ENROLL IN A TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That part VI of chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to create a program to assist students enrolled in grades ten or eleven in a public school to transition to enrollment in a technical high school, and that such transition shall include coursework and work experience in a trade chosen by such students and occur during the summer prior to enrollment in a technical high school. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a bridge program for public high school students to transition to the technical high school system from the public school system.
