2626 AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN CANDIDATE COMMITTEE AUDITS BY THE STATE ELECTIONS ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION.

2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

3030 That section 9-7b of the general statutes be amended to provide that the State Elections Enforcement Commission, in its random audits after any election or primary of candidate committees selected by lottery, shall conduct such lottery and make such selections in a manner which (1) accounts for candidate committees that have been subject to audit following a recent prior election or primary, and (2) decreases the likelihood that any such candidate committee will be selected for audit following the immediately subsequent election or primary.
