AN ACT CONCERNING DISCLOSURE OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES' TAX RETURNS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 146 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the presidential electors nominated to vote for candidates for President and Vice President of the United States shall not appear on the official ballot to be used at a presidential election unless such party's candidate for President publicly discloses his or her federal and state tax returns for the five previous years.

Statement of Purpose: 

To withhold ballot access from Connecticut's presidential electors for any candidate for President of the United States who does not release federal and state tax returns for the previous five years.
