2424 AN ACT IMPOSING SANCTIONS AGAINST A PARENT WHO IS IN CONTEMPT OF COURT ORDERS RELATING TO CUSTODY AND VISITATION.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That section 46b-87 of the general statutes be amended to include progressive sanctions that may be imposed by the court against a parent who repeatedly is found in contempt of court with respect to custody and visitation orders; such sanctions shall include, but not be limited to: (1) Fines, (2) a reduction in, or loss of, child support, and (3) a change in the award of custody from one parent to the other parent.
