AN ACT CONCERNING VERIFICATION OF THE ADDRESS OF A PERSON REGISTERED AS A SEXUAL OFFENDER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes concerning police verification of sex offenders' addresses be amended to require a verification of an offender's physical address, to verify compliance with required setbacks and to ensure that the proper chief elected official is notified of such offender's location.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that sex offenders are compliant with statutory setbacks and that the officials of the proper municipality are notified.
