AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPARENCY IN THE PRICING OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to encourage hospitals, within available funds and resources, and physicians to direct patients, not later than five years after the effective date of this act, to information related to the cost of health care services they provide so that patients may make informed decisions regarding their health care.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide transparency in the pricing of health care services so that patients can make informed health care decisions.
