AN ACT PROHIBITING STATE SUBSIDIES, GRANTS AND BOND-FUNDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CERTAIN PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit state subsidies, grants and bond-funded financial assistance to publicly traded companies whose highest paid employee earns more than one hundred times the median wage of a worker in Connecticut.

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage a higher median income in Connecticut.
