AN ACT CONCERNING THE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTERS FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN MAGNET SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That part V of chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to require a regional educational service center that operates an interdistrict magnet school to be financially responsible for any costs associated with the provision of special education and related services to a student enrolled in such magnet school.
Statement of Purpose:
To require regional educational service centers to cover the special education costs of students enrolled in magnet schools.
