AN ACT CONCERNING THE FULL REIMBURSEMENT OF A SCHOOL DISTRICT'S EXCESS COST FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-76g of the general statutes be amended to require that a local or regional board of education shall be reimbursed in an amount equal to the total excess cost for special education and to remove the cap so that the grant will be fully funded.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the necessary funding for special education costs incurred by school districts.
