2424 AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM BUDGET REQUIREMENT AND ESTABLISHMENT OF MILL RATES BY LOCAL BOARDS OF EDUCATION.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That the general statutes be amended to permit (1) school districts to reduce budgeted appropriations for education by not more than one-half of one per cent of the school district's budgeted appropriation for education when a school district experiences a decline in the number of resident students, and (2) permit municipalities, by charter provision or referendum, to authorize local boards of education to establish separate mill rates for the purpose of funding local public education.
