AN ACT PROVIDING GREATER FLEXIBILITY AND AUTONOMY TO SCHOOLS PARTICIPATING IN THE COMMISSIONER'S NETWORK OF SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-223h of the general statutes be amended to provide schools participating in the commissioner's network of schools with greater flexibility and autonomy relating to staffing, programming, operations, budgeting and other administrative and educational functions.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the effectiveness of the commissioner's network of schools program by utilizing techniques and strategies used in other successful school turnaround programs.
