AN ACT REQUIRING OWNERS OF PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT MEETING SPACE FOR TENANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require any housing authority, nonprofit corporation, municipality or municipal developer of a public housing project containing fifty units or more to provide a common facility or community room located within such public housing project of sufficient size for all tenants to meet.

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage the formation of tenant associations in order to make quality of life outreach possible.
