AN ACT CONCERNING THE PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES ON MUNICIPAL INTERNET WEB SITES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 1-2 of the general statutes be amended to permit a municipality to advertise in a newspaper a brief description of a legal notice, provided such description includes the address of such municipality's Internet web site and a statement indicating that additional information regarding the legal notice may be obtained on such Internet web site.
Statement of Purpose:
To save municipalities money by permitting the advertisement of legal notices on municipal Internet web sites.
