2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

(NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes or any special act, municipal charter or home rule ordinance, a municipality may, by vote of its legislative body, as defined in section 7-482 of the general statutes, initiate and implement cost-sharing measures for noneducational expenditures including, but not limited to, the maintenance of parks, athletic fields, building grounds and vehicles, computer hardware and software, financial management systems, information technology staffing, transportation services and safety and security operations, in conjunction with any local or regional board of education in order to realize financial efficiencies.
