AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND ALLOWING A BUSINESS TAX CREDIT FOR BUSINESSES THAT UTILIZE SUCH PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That (1) section 17a-215c of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Developmental Services to establish an internship program for adults with autism spectrum disorder, and (2) chapter 208 of the general statutes be amended to allow a business tax credit of not more than two hundred dollars for every business that hires an adult with autism spectrum disorder as an intern at such business. Statement of Purpose: To establish an internship program for adults with autism spectrum disorder and allow a tax credit for businesses that utilize such program.
