2424 AN ACT CONCERNING OPIOID TREATMENT AND PREVENTION EFFORTS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That the general statutes be amended to (1) require any state agency that receives federal funding to combat the opioid abuse epidemic, including, but not limited to, the development of any programming concerning the treatment and prevention of opioid abuse or educating the community regarding such epidemic, to direct a portion of such funding to the urban communities in the state, and (2) streamline opioid abuse treatment and prevention programs across state agencies to improve the efficacy, reduce the cost and, where practical, increase the availability of such programs, particularly in urban areas.
