2424 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Not later than October 1, 2017, the Insurance Commissioner shall study the impact of any changes to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, P.L. 111-148, as amended from time to time, on this state.

3030 (b) Not later than December 1, 2017, the commissioner, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, shall report the results of the study conducted under subsection (a) of this section to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to insurance. Such report may include the commissioner's recommendations for addressing the impact of any pending or enacted legislation or order that amends, modifies or repeals the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, P.L. 111-148, as amended from time to time, or any portion thereof.
