AN ACT CONCERNING BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Education shall conduct a study relating to issues relating to boards of education in the state. Not later than May 20, 2018, the department shall submit a report of the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Education to study issues relating to boards of education in the state.
