RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO PERMIT NO-EXCUSE ABSENTEE VOTING.

Resolved by this Assembly:

That Article sixth of the Constitution of the state of Connecticut be amended to permit any qualified elector who does not appear at a polling place on the day of an election, regardless of reason, to vote in such election.

Statement of Purpose: 

To eliminate the requirement that an elector satisfy a particular reason, specified by law, in order to cast an absentee ballot.
