RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE DONATION OF EXCESS FOOD TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO FEED FOOD-INSECURE PEOPLE.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That the General Assembly encourage state agencies and state contractors to donate excess, wholesome food to nonprofit organizations that provide assistance to the numerous food-insecure people in the state who experience difficulty obtaining affordable, nutritious food on a daily basis.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage donations of excess food for food-insecure people in the state.
