O'NEILL, 69th Dist. RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO GRANT THE POWERS OF INITIATIVE, REFERENDUM AND RECALL OF CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS. Resolved by this Assembly: That the Constitution of the state be amended to grant to the electors of the state (1) the powers of direct initiative and referendum for legislation and state constitutional amendments, and (2) the power to recall any state or local elected official whose term of office is equal to or exceeds four years. Statement of Purpose: To grant state electors the powers of initiative, referendum and recall of certain elected officials.
