AN ACT CONCERNING FAIRNESS IN MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR HOME CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to provide, in accordance with federal regulations, retroactive payments to participants in the Connecticut home-care program for the elderly for not more than three months before the date of their application.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide Medicaid coverage retroactively for eligible home-care clients in accordance with federal law.
