AN ACT CAPPING CERTAIN STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION EXPENDITURES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 157 be amended to impose restrictions on organization expenditures made by state central committees for the benefit of candidate committees participating in the Citizens' Election Program similar to the restrictions imposed on legislative leadership committees.

Statement of Purpose: 

To eliminate unlimited organization expenditures by state central committees for the benefit of legislative candidates.
