AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRAINING OF SECURITY PERSONNEL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 29-161q and 29-161z of the general statutes be amended to increase the minimum training requirements from eight hours to sixteen hours for armed and unarmed security officers and to require such officers to complete sixteen hours of continuing education training every five years.

Statement of Purpose: 

To increase the minimum training requirements and establish continuing education training for armed and unarmed security officers.
