AN ACT REQUIRING A COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS AND ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 16 of the general statutes be amended to require that every bill, resolution or amendment be accompanied by a cost-benefit analysis and economic impact statement that estimates the effect of the proposal on employment and economic development. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To require a cost-benefit analysis and economic impact statement on all proposed legislation.
