AN ACT MAKING MUNICIPAL UTILITY COMPANIES' BOOKS AND FINANCIALS SUBJECT TO DISCLOSURE UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 7 of the general statutes be amended to require municipal utility companies to allow the public to examine such companies' books and financials and that such records be subject to the freedom of information act.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the public to examine the financials of municipal utilities.
