AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM FOR IDENTIFIED JOB GROWTH INDUSTRIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to create an apprenticeship program that offers hands-on training to students enrolled in a public high school or public institution of higher education and that is funded by certain identified job growth industries, including, but not limited to, occupational health and manufacturing.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a private-public partnership in an apprenticeship program for certain industries displaying job growth.
