2424 AN ACT CONCERNING AN EVALUATION BY THE SENTENCING COMMISSION OF THE ADEQUACY OF CRIMINAL SENTENCING STATUTES IN WHICH A FATALITY OCCURS AS THE RESULT OF AN INDIVIDUAL OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That, pursuant to section 54-300 of the general statutes, the Sentencing Commission shall be charged with (1) conducting an evaluation of existing sentencing statutes that are applicable in a criminal matter in which a fatality occurs as the result of an individual operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and (2) evaluating whether or not mandatory minimum sentences should be imposed in criminal matters in which a fatality occurs as the result of an individual operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
