AN ACT CONCERNING THE MUNICIPAL FISCAL YEAR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 7 of the general statutes be amended to require that municipal fiscal years begin on September first and end the following August thirty-first annually.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that municipalities are aware of state funding levels when creating municipal budgets.
