AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH CARRIERS TO PAY A MINIMUM COMMISSION TO CERTAIN INSURANCE PRODUCERS AND BROKERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require any health carrier offering a health insurance plan through the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange, established pursuant to section 38a-1081 of the general statutes, to pay a minimum commission to an insurance producer or broker who assists an individual or small employer in selecting a health insurance plan offered through the exchange.
Statement of Purpose:
To require any health carrier offering a health insurance plan through the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange, established pursuant to section 38a-1081 of the general statutes, to pay a minimum commission to an insurance producer or broker who assists an individual or small employer in selecting a health insurance plan offered through the exchange.
