AN ACT ESTABLISHING A DEDUCTION AGAINST THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX FOR FEDERAL PENSIONS AND VETERANS' PENSIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to establish a deduction against the personal income tax that mirrors the deduction for Social Security benefits, including applicable income caps, for federal pensions and veterans' pensions.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide tax parity for federal pensions and veterans' pensions.
