AN ACT CONCERNING THE ALVIN W. PENN RACIAL PROFILING PROHIBITION ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 54-1m of the general statutes be amended to extend the provisions of the Alvin W. Penn Racial Profiling Prohibition Act to cover pedestrian stops. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To extend the provisions of the Alvin W. Penn Racial Profiling Prohibition Act to cover pedestrian stops and thereby provide a more complete view of racial profiling in a community and to further provide a data-focused view into police interactions with youth who most often encounter law enforcement during such stops.
