AN ACT ESTABLISHING A FINANCIAL EDUCATION PLAN FOR RETIREES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-16pp of the general statutes be amended to allow the Department of Banking to develop information in financial literacy that (1) is specific to the concerns of senior citizens and persons within ten years of retirement, and (2) may be made available on the Department of Banking's Internet web site and at banking institutions in this state.
Statement of Purpose:
To educate retirees and persons approaching retirement about personal finance issues.
