AN ACT CONCERNING PARTICIPATION IN INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS BY STUDENTS AT TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require that the rules adopted by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference governing interscholastic athletics apply to technical high schools, and (2) permit a student enrolled at a technical high school to participate on an interscholastic athletics team of the local or regional board of education for the town in which a technical school is located if such technical high school does not have a team for such interscholastic athletic sport.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide greater accessibility to interscholastic athletics for students at technical high schools.
