| 28 | 28 | Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Not later than October 1, 2017, the Insurance Commissioner shall study potential methods of providing relief to homeowners in this state with crumbling foundations in their primary residences. | |

| 30 | 30 | (b) Not later than December 1, 2017, the commissioner, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, shall report the results of the study conducted under subsection (a) of this section to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to insurance. Such report may include the commissioner's analysis of the impact of requiring insurance companies that deliver, issue for delivery, renew, amend or endorse homeowners insurance policies in this state to provide coverage for: (1) The peril of collapse; and (2) any mitigation undertaken to prevent or repair a collapse. | |
