AN ACT INCREASING FINES FOR VIOLATIONS COMMITTED IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE, UTILITY WORK ZONE, TRAFFIC INCIDENT MANAGEMENT ZONE AND FIRE STATION ZONE AND IMPROVING THE SIGNS AT SUCH ZONES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-212a of the general statutes be amended to (1) increase fines for violations committed in a highway and municipal road construction zone, utility work zone, traffic incident management zone and fire station work zone, and (2) improve the signs at the beginning and end of such zones.
Statement of Purpose:
To (1) increase fines for violations committed in a construction zone, utility work zone, traffic incident management zone and fire station work zone, and reduce the risk of injury for highway workers, and (2) improve the signs at the beginning and end of such zones.
