AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION FUNDING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Transportation shall review the current means by which public transportation and transportation projects in the state are funded to determine whether such public transportation and transportation projects are being provided or undertaken by the most cost-efficient, equitable and effective means. On or before October 1, 2018, the commissioner shall submit, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, the results of the review to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies and transportation. The results shall include recommendations for revisions to funding for public transportation and transportation projects and any legislation necessary to implement such revisions.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
