AN ACT CONCERNING THE ZONING OF SOLAR FARMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2018) Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 277a of the general statutes or any special act, municipal charter or ordinance to the contrary, each solar photovoltaic system project shall comply with all applicable planning and zoning regulations and ordinances in the municipality in which such project will be located. For purposes of this section, "municipality" means any town, city, consolidated town and city or consolidated town and borough.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require solar farms to comply with local planning and zoning requirements.
