AN ACT CONCERNING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BONDING AND A STUDY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND WORKFORCE TRAINING NEEDS OF THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall, in consultation with the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, conduct a study to identify the economic development and technical skills workforce training needs of the state. Such report shall include, but not be limited to, recommendations for specific programmatic changes and initiatives to address such needs and corresponding bond authorization amounts deemed necessary to accomplish such changes and implement such initiatives. Not later than January 1, 2019, the secretary shall submit such report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to finance, revenue and bonding and commerce.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
