AN ACT REQUIRING THE WAIVER OF FINANCIAL FEES FOR
MEDICAID APPLICANTS FOR ASSET TRANSFER REVIEWS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services, acting in consultation with the 2
Banking Commissioner, to waive fees by financial institutions assessed 3
for asset transfer reviews in the five years prior to a person's Medicaid 4
application. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce financial burdens on Medicaid applicants.
