AN ACT CONCERNING WORK REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAID
RECIPIENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to apply for a waiver under Section 2
1115 of the Social Security Act to require able-bodied Medicaid 3
recipients to work or volunteer. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a program to foster employment and volunteerism among
certain eligible able-bodied Medicaid recipients.
