AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESCRIBING OF PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to establish a centralized 1 database for the monitoring of psychiatric drug prescriptions to enable 2 a prescribing practitioner, when prescribing a psychiatric drug to a 3 patient, to determine whether the patient is taking any other 4 psychiatric drug that does not interact well with the drug the 5 prescribing practitioner intends to prescribe. 6 Statement of Purpose: To reduce the risk to patients of taking psychiatric drugs that do not interact well with other psychiatric drugs the patient is taking.
