AN ACT REQUIRING PHYSICIANS TO REVIEW A PATIENT'S RECORDS IN THE ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION DRUG MONITORING PROGRAM PRIOR TO ISSUING A PRESCRIPTION TO SUCH PATIENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 21a-254 of the general statutes be amended to require 1 physicians to review a patient's records in the electronic prescription 2 drug monitoring program prior to issuing a prescription to such 3 patient. 4 Statement of Purpose: To require physicians to check the electronic prescription drug monitoring program prior to writing prescriptions.
